EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FORM

Expressions of interest for the Perth Stronger Communities Programme are now open!

The Perth Stronger Communities Programme encourages and supports the development of small capital projects that enhance vibrancy in our local community.

Grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 are available to eligible not-for-profit organisations and local community groups.

Eligible activities include:

  • Build, fit out, alterations and/or extensions to community infrastructure (such as community centres, Scouts or Girl Guide Halls, Men’s Sheds and CWA Halls) and sports grounds

  • Purchase of equipment for community infrastructure and sports grounds

  • New or upgrade disability access and/or amenities in public facilities

  • Acquisition and installation of information signage of people, places, of natural local significance

  • Acquisition and installation of energy efficient appliances/systems available and relevant to local requirements to upgrade community facilities

  • Build, fit out, alterations and/or extensions to community infrastructure that promote biodiversity and/or supports native flora and/or fauna species (for example community gardens)

  • Acquisition and installation of native or drought tolerant vegetation suitable to local conditions to upgrade community facilities and community spaces

  • Installation or upgrade to a native garden to update community facilities and community spaces

  • Support towards NAIDOC week celebrations

  • Acquisition and installation of information signage for places of First Nations significance

  • Purchase of First Nation themed uniforms that will be retained by the organisation

  • Acquisition and installation of First Nations art in public spaces

  • Building of new or upgrades to existing war memorials

  • Purchase, establish new or upgrades to a website/social media presence

  • Purchase and/or installation of audio-visual equipment delivering community and social benefits

  • Installation of or upgrades to electrical works to allow or enhance the use of ICT equipment delivering community and social benefits

  • Purchase and installation of defibrillator/s and or other first aid equipment, including first aid kits

  • Upgrade to or construction of first aid rooms/spaces

  • Provision of women's facilities at public facilities or sports grounds

  • Construction of or upgrade to parent rooms at public facilities or sports grounds
